Renting an apartment is a big responsibility and commitment. There are always many questions involved and we want to ensure you get the answers you are looking for. Here are some of our most frequently asked questions.
I am relocating to DC, what should I know in advance?
Relocating to DC can be a whirlwind experience. While the usual moving stresses apply, DC throws in its own twist with a unique culture and hidden gems all over the city. Don’t worry, though! We have put together a guide with many of your relocation questions answered.
I have scheduled a tour, what do I need to bring?
When you come for a tour at Crest, you’ll need an unexpired government-issued ID.
HOW DO I PAY RENT?
We have multiple ways to pay rent. You can pay through an online resident portal or you can bring a check or money order to our leasing office.
WHAT UTILITIES ARE INCLUDED WITH RENT?
We include trash, recycling, and water fees with your rent. Residents are responsible for electricity and cable / internet services.
Do you have a laundry room?
Each of our apartment homes has its own washer and dryer.
IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?
Absolutely. Crest Apartments has its own attached garage for $145 monthly.
IS THERE A GROCERY STORE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE?
Yes, there is. There is a Lidl US grocery store, right outside our front doors.
What are my public transportation options?
There are over ten Metrobus routes, steps from our doors. There are also three Metrorail stations within one mile.
DO YOU ALLOW PETS?
At Crest, we love pets just as much as you. Well-behaved cats and dogs are welcome here. We even have our own dog park and dog washing station.
WHAT ARE MY LEASE LENGTH OPTIONS?
You can choose anywhere between 12, 15, 18, and 24 months.
DO YOU REQUIRE RENTERS INSURANCE?
We do require renters insurance. The plans are inexpensive and can protect your items when things beyond our control happen. It also protects you, if you damage something inadvertently.
HOW ARE MAINTENANCE REQUESTS HANDLED?
Remember to let us know right away if something breaks or isn’t working correctly. You can give our concierge a call for assistance or you can log into the resident portal and open a ticket with us there. Once we get your request, we’ll take it from there.
DO YOU HAVE ANY DEALS OR SPECIALS?
The best way to learn about our current specials is to contact our leasing team.
DO YOU HAVE ANY additional storage?
Yes, we have a variety of on-site storage units to help store your items
Is Crest a smoke-free community?
Healthy housing matters very much to us. and we do not allow smoking in our building. Smokers are welcome to smoke a minimum of 50 feet away from Crest Apartments.
