As an added bonus, Lidl has an incredible selection of produce just steps from your front door! Here are three fantastic vegetarian grilling recipes that are sure to please your palate.

Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

Grilled Portobello mushrooms are a fantastic meat substitute, offering a rich and hearty flavor that’s perfect for any meal.

As the warm weather approaches, we’re excited to welcome everyone to the pool at Crest at Skyland Town Center. To ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, we’d like to remind you of some important pool rules. Doing your part and being a good neighbor by following these guidelines is greatly appreciated and helps keep our community a pleasant place for all residents.

Pool | Crest At Skyland

Pool Rules and Reminders:

Our pool hours are from 9am-8pm every night, making sure you have plenty of time to soak up the sun! Please note, there is not a lifeguard on duty, so please keep this in mind and swim at your own risk.

No Speakers at the Pool

  • We kindly ask that you do not bring speakers to the pool area. Our pool is surrounded by your neighbors, and noise carries! Excessive noise can disturb others, and we want to maintain a relaxing environment for everyone. So please, be considerate of your neighbors and be mindful of excessive noise!

Appropriate Swim Attire

  • Please ensure that you wear proper swim attire when using the pool. Undergarments are not acceptable as swimwear.

No Pets in Common Areas

  • Pets are not allowed in any common spaces outside of the Dog Park or Dog Spa. This is crucial for maintaining health and safety standards, especially around the pool area.

Smoke and Vape-Free Community

  • Crest is a smoke and vape-free community. This policy includes the rooftop and balconies.

No Glass on the Pool Deck

  • For safety reasons, glass is not permitted on the pool deck. Broken glass can cause the pool to be closed for cleaning, so please help us prevent this by using non-glass containers. Need some good ideas for pool-friendly drinkware? Check out our recommendations!

Supervision of Children

  • Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while at the pool.

No Stones or Rocks

  • Please refrain from bringing stones or rocks around or onto the pool deck. These can be harmful and difficult to remove, potentially leading to pool closure.

No Large Pool Toys

  • Due to the pool’s limited space, beach balls, rafts, and large floats are not allowed. This helps us accommodate as many residents as possible while adhering to occupancy guidelines.

  • All guests must be accompanied by a resident at all times. Each apartment is allowed a maximum of two guests. Please remember that residents are responsible for the behavior of their guests.

  • For more details, please check your lease as these guidelines are all outlined in the amenity rules and regulations. Residents or guests who do not comply with these rules will be asked to leave the pool. Continued non-compliance may result in the revocation of amenity access.

Retail within your community is an amenity that keeps on giving. Whether you have a grocery store, restaurants, or other services such as banks and pharmacies, it’s always such an added convenience to have these types of retain options at your fingertips. Fortunately, at Crest, we have all of this and more all within the community just steps from your front door! Today we are highlighting Trek, a globally known name in biking who has recently opened a retail location at the all-new Skyland Town Center.

Trek At A Glance:

Trek began in 1976, when a pair of determined guys set out to make the best bicycles the world had ever seen. Their vision was grounded in unswerving principles: the product would be of the highest quality craftsmanship and it would bring the joy of cycling to a broader audience. They offer kids bikes-adult, even electric bikes which are increasing in popularity!

Trek In Our Community:

Washington DC has become an increasingly bike-friendly city in recent years. With the increase in population density, cost of parking, and cost of insurance, bikes and electric bikes are quickly becoming preferred means of travel within the city. Many of the roads in DC also have bike lanes which makes it easier for bikers to share the road.

Crest features an on site controlled-access bike storage as an amenity for your convenience

With this in mind, having a retail location within the Crest community that not only sells all kinds of bikes, but also offers professional repair services, is a valuable thing to have. As a resident of Crest, we have a controlled-access bike room just for our residents within the community, meaning you have a place outside of the apartment to easily store your bike. Trek’s Skyland Town Center location is also looking at other avenues of community engagement in the future such as community bike rides and the like. They even go the extra mile and provide some great recommendations for sight–seeing bike rides through Washington DC!
